After finishing the Stage 1, the teams moved to Karlovac for the start of the second stage of the Tour of Croatia. The longest stage of this year’s race connects the cities of Karlovac and Zadar and is overall 235 km long. Due to very strong gushes of wind that were thought to be potentially dangerous for the cyclist, the race was neutralized from 170 to about 190 km. These minor difficulties didn’t affect Eduard Michael Grosu (team Nippo-Vini Fantini-Europa Ovini) who, in a truly exciting finish, claimed the victory of the second stage of Tour of Croatia, arriving at the finish line ahead of Giacomo Nizzolo (team Trek-Segafredo) and Riccardo Minali (team Astana Pro).
Congratulations to Grosu and best of luck to all the riders through the following stages!
