TOUR OF CROATIA – April 21, 2017, FOURTH STAGE

The fourth day of international cycling race Tour of Croatia was scheduled for 171 km long route connecting the cities of Crikvenica and Umag.  The cycling route is leading the competitor through Učka tunnel, leaving the  the Bay of Kvarner and continuing the race on Istrian peninsula. The route is said to be favourable to sprinters, so it was expected that one of the cycling sprinters will take the victory. Todays the lucky winner was Nicola Ruffoin. According to the Cyclingnews ‘ The Bardian CSF rider sprinted to victory in Umag ahead of Riccardo Minali (Astana) and Ivan Savitskiy (Gazprom-Rusvelo), denying a stubborn break in the final moments of the day.
